Absolutely and completely handcrafted, a necklace in which each link is individually made, hand-forged and individually finely ground and polished. Forged by hand from 3 mm thick round copper material: one hook. 10 chain links, slightly longer than Niniane, the ends each formed into an open eyelet. Then 11 chain links oval TIG welded – a fusion welding process in which the end pieces are fused together in an arc. We use helium as the inert gas here, which enables us to produce an extremely precise weld seam – only the copper is melted here, so no other metal is added. Copper and nothing but copper is used in this piece of jewelry. Cleaning the 11 welded parts, then rolling each of the 21 parts to 2.4 mm with our Durston roller. Fine grinding and polishing of all the individual parts, then assembling the entire necklace, checking, and then … and then: wrapped, put in a bubble envelope, address label with the tracking code on it … and off to the post office … and then the copper necklace will soon be in your letterbox.
